Barry

Finalized version of my human gunslinger, Barry Nakshu. Drew him up to date with events in the FoG RP. To the side you see up close versions of his beloved rifles. You might be able to see two shoddy patch jobs, one across the chest of his shirt and another on his left pant leg. They're their because he ripped the word and symbol of KOLD off of them after his betrayal to them.

Barry is the second youngest out of seven. Shortly after his little sister was born, his parents disappeared leaving the oldest two to take care of the family. His siblings names are, from oldest to youngest, Drew, Sean, Thomas, Robert, Nathanial, and Anna. For as long as he can remember, Barry and his siblings stole to survive, all they took was food. Occasionally they would stow away on the trains running through the city to get from one place to another. They tried to never steal any money, but occasionally they needed to.

Born on the planet Corna, war was quite common as was the never ending metal and concrete landscape. Little to no plant-life existed on the planet, mankind having wiped out nearly all of it. Corna is controlled by and is the Head-Quarters for the organization, Keepers Of Light Destruction, or KOLD for short. His home is military base, everyone being forced to aid in the militant force in some way upon reaching age 14.

One night, an unknown organization who called themselves Rebels was determined to rise up against KOLD attacked the lower ends of the main city taking out anyone in their path. Barry and his siblings were among those who became hunted down by the Rebels. After being chased down several streets, they were cornered in a warehouse. Barry, being quick on his feet and a coward by nature, he found the perfect hiding spot and almost called out to his brothers and sister when the Rebels broke in and slaughtered them all right in front of the young kid's eyes. Petrified at the scene, Barry could do nothing more then watch as his family fell, on after the other. It didn't take long fro them to finish, not finding Barry, they left the blood covered room. Shock and horrified the image engraved it's self deep into Barry's then frail mind and scarred him for life. He was left crying curled up in fear.

Later, Barry was found by an android named Andrew who took him in and raised Barry in the Mecha District. There, Barry learned the ends and outs of all the mechanical beings on Corna. Andrew was dismantled several years later for defying KOLD and refusing to work for the cause like all 'good citizens' should.

During his time growing up in the Mecha District, Barry began to design the Militant Attack Chaos Killer system. For most of his life, he worked designing and building various mechas on Corna, from small repair bots to 20 story mobile suits to animal like war machines.

About a week after turning 14, Barry literally ran into Alice, knocking both of them down and scattering their papers. While trying to scoop them up, Alice saw the designs for the M.A.C.K system, and knowing she needed some way to repay KOLD for saving her, she brought Barry to KOLD HQ and to Dr. Ramos giving him the chance to show and begin to build the gundam. He had a deadline of one year to finish and nearly missed it, due to the fact he could not activate Mack's gunsoul. That is, until he bang his hand against the table in frustration cutting his knuckles open and causing a single blood drop to fall onto the gunsoul, igniting the flame with in it and bringing the gundam to life.

Fast-forward several years. After aiding Mack in both battle and recovery he was stunned to find his one greatest success wanted nothing more to do with taking lives and fled from their ship via a dimensional gate that opened by either chance or fate after a wrench became lodged in one of the computers. Blaming his life-long bad luck, Barry could do nothing more then avoid Dr. Ramos's wrath and begin the two year long search for his 'son'.

The search proved fruitful after a second portal appeared on their ship leading to Gundaria, except this one was conjured my dark magic rather then a malfunctioning computer. Arrival on the gundam inhabited world lead to some misadventures and Barry's soon betrayal to KOLD, he being the last of Destruction Squad Six to turn.

Today, Barry Nakshu roams Gundaria living a much quieter and peaceful life at the Toshi Dojo but still feels the need to protect his family, Alice, Mack, and Leona, (granted all three of them are gundams) while avoiding being nailed in the head by rouge rice bowls and flying fist of the native gundams. After meeting the native humans, Miichelle and Dauhn, he was ecstatic that he wasn't the only human but much to his disappointment, they spoke the native language and not the trade tongue he knew. After several runs ins and being hit in an unfriendly place, Seishin tricked Barry and Dauhn into being locked inside the Toshi library, there they taught each other the modern and trade tongues and soon begin to fall for each other. Miichelle had a habit of locking the bedroom door at night, usually ending up in Dauhn being locked out, and so, Barry offered Dauhn to share his room. As you may have guessed, this leads to them having a son, Amuro. Though he is still a jumpy, trigger happy, gun welding coward. Who has fallen into the grace of the Deity of Pain. He's still unsure if this is a blessing or a curse but doesn't complain, never hurts to have a Legendary on your side. But with war looming in the near future, he wonders how much longer this tranquility will last, and if he will, despite his fears, have to fight to the death for what he has gained.
